I'm Amy, I'm 24, I grew up in Bardstown, Ky. but I've lived in Louisville for 4 and 1/2 years, so I consider it home now.
I write about food and dining for Louisville.com, and I'm also a summer intern at Louisville Magazine. On top of that, I'm a student at UofL where I would probably stay forever if I didn't have to graduate and get a real job.
My background in food includes a few jobs in the foodservice industry, studying culinary arts at Sullivan University, and lots of trial-and-error experience in home cooking.
I love the tall buildings downtown that make me think I'm in a really big city, but I also love the fact that I can go pretty much anywhere and see someone I know. That makes Louisville feel very homey. I also love the unique mix of southern and midwestern cultures and accents.
