A very well attended meeting in Louisville's Shawnee neighborhood discussed vacant properties, data surrounding them and public health issues such as opossums as tennants.
There is help for horses impacted by the March 2 tornadoes. The U.S. Equine Disaster Relief Fund helps out horse owners of horses affected by natural disasters. This fund is managed by the Kentucky Horse Council.
Sadly, the March 2 tornadoes not only cause loss of human life but many animals' lost their lives also. Many horse owners in the affected areas of the tornadoes lost their horses, often their homes and barns as well.
"We have tons of food, blankets and supplies. We are equipped to sleep 300 and feed more than 1000. We currently only have about 15 people here so we need to get the word out."
Local news outlets are reporting that Angel Babcock died this afternoon at Kosair Children's Hospital. A deputy coroner says Angel died at 4:10 p.m. Sunday afternoon from traumatic brain injuries.

We reviewed the proposed changes to the Landmarks Ordinance, and had difficulty understanding what all the hubbub was about. Much of the panicked opposition to the proposed changes is coming from people who obviously not taken the time to read the pending ordinance.
