Henry's Place American Bridge Wine Dinner on 9/19!
    Print this page

Last month, I attended the 1st American Brigade wine dinner at Henry’s Place on Brownsboro Rd., where Chef Charles Reed serves up Pan-European creations that dazzle the senses. It was absolutely wonderful, and they will be having a 2nd wine dinner next Wednesday, the 19th!  Each elegant course will be paired with selections from the portfolio of Majestic Fine Wines.

    The enticing menu:

    Roasted Lamb Saddle St. Nicholas

Heirloom Tomato Tart, Gorgonzola, and Natural Jus

WindRacer Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, 2007

    Brentwood Corn Consommé

    Jerez Cheese Straw

    Arrowood Sonoma Chardonnay, 2009

    Persian Lime Sorbet

Summer Melon, Sangria, and Sweet Lychee with Chocolate Mint

    Roasted Peking Duck Ballotine

Summer Pole Beans, Beech Mushrooms, Caramelized Spaghetti Squash, and Pommes Boulangeres in Rainier Cherry and Duck Demi-Glace

    Stonestreet Fifth Ridge Red, 2006

    Farrier “Presshouse” Meritage, 2008

    St. Michael Oyster Salad

Buttermilk Blue Cornmeal-Coated and Fried, with Vidalia Onion Chutney and Butterfly Tuile Cracker

    Solletico Prosecco

    Banana Moon Pie

    Marse Henry’s Couverture Chocolate Truffle

    Arrowood Late Harvest Riesling, 2007

Here’s my review of the first American Brigade wine dinner:

The cost is $100 per person plus tax and gratuities.

Dressing nicely is required, and so are reservations! (502) 690-6585

Dress up and enjoy an evening of luscious food on Wednesday, September 19th! Based on the previous wine dinner, I can guarantee that this will be a memorable and delicious meal.
