Pandora Productions presents the world premiere of its New Play Project winner, Abraham Lincoln Was a Faggot, beginning tomorrow.

Abraham Lincoln Was a Faggot will take place on Mar. 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Shows on Mar. 17 and 24 will happen at 5:30 p.m. each day, and a matinee on Mar. 23 is to go on at 2 p.m.  All performances will go on at the Henry Clay Theatre, located on the third floor of the Henry Clay Building at 604 S. Third Street in Old Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $18 from the Pandora Productions website.  More information on the show can also be found at that website.

Abraham Lincoln Was a Faggot features Cal, a teen who creates an essay on Abraham Lincoln, his hero.  Cal, struggling to find his way through the world, begins thinking about what the world would be like if Lincoln was gay.  The resulting essay is selected to be read at Ford's Theater, and Cal becomes the subject of bullying, family turmoil, and, eventually, a comeback.

Bixby Elliott created the production, which won Pandora Productions's New Play Project contest last year.

Following Abraham Lincoln, Pandora Productions will present Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story.  That production will take place in May.
