Do you know Adam Hunter?  If you don’t, you will soon; so don’t miss your opportunity this weekend to see him live before he blows up to bigger and better things.  His comedy is energetic, insightful, and often times deep, as he delves into observations on life, relationships, and dysfunctional families.

Hunter is New York native, who during his tenure in prep school was a top ranked athlete in the sport of wrestling.  Somehow and against all odds, that led to him find his way into stand-up comedy, an industry where he chose where one has no choice but sink or swim…he chose the latter.

He has performed all over television, including Last Comic Standing, Chelsea Lately, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno; all the while launching his own T.V. Pilot called Kamikaze Comedy.  He has also traveled the world performing for troops in the Middle East, Far East, Africa, and South America – as well, as troops right here at home.

Hunter will be at Laughing Derby this weekend Aug. 22st – Aug 23rd.  Times vary and tickets range from $12-$15.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
