Nearly two months ago, I wrote an article (you can read it here) that posed my prediction and hopefulness that Outkast would be choosing Forecastle as one of the 60 festivals they would be headlining this summer in their reunion.
Yesterday morning at the 11 a.m. announcement of the 2014 Forecastle Festival lineup, my prediction, as well as many Louisvillians, was confirmed when Outkast was the first name listed as a headliner for the Louisville festival. Big Boi and Andre 3000 will be performing together after 20 years of being a musical duo.
OutKast posted this to their Twitter shortly after the Forecastle lineup was announced
Jack White, Beck and The Replacements will also be headliners and will be just few of the many fantastic performers that will perform at this summer's festival. This Forecastle is definitely one that cannot be missed. I know many people were excited to see Action Bronson on the list, the New York chef-gone-rapper with the stylistic flow of Ghostface Killah. "Demolition Man" and "Eggs on the Third Floor" are two of my favorite Bronsolini tracks. Exact scheduling of the performance of these artists will be available and released closer to the festival.
Action Bronson. I recommend to check out his "Blue Chips 2" and "Rare Chandeliers"
Also, to the delight of many Louisvillians, Louisville’s own Jalin Roze will be performing this year. I interviewed Jalin in January about his trip to New York, performing, and what he is currently working on. You can read it here. Also, check out Jalin Roze and his previous album, Grand National Dreams, on his website.

There was so much excitement yesterday in Louisville as the lineup went live. This Friday tickets will go on sale in limited quantities at 12 p.m. General admission varies from $144.50-$199.50 based on the level and the VIP Weekend Pass is $399.50, plus applicable service fees. The VIP pass includes: a 2014 Forecastle merchandise item, special entrances into the festival, Mast & Boom Stage viewing areas, access to the air-conditioned lounge in the exclusive hang area, an exclusive bar and bathrooms, free access to the Bourbon Lodge (must be 21 guys, don’t try to sneak in) and a commemorative Bourbon Lodge cup.
