Looking for something to do tonight? Ready for your ears to be wowed? There are two concerts tonight, consisting of mainly local musicians that I definitely recommend and possibly the best part is that both shows cost under $10!

    Concert #1

Who: Niles Foley and Justin Paul Lewis. Mount Saint Elias from Oakland, California is closing the night.

Niles Foley (Louisville) is the newest project of former The 23 String Band fiddler Scott Moore. They will be playing their first show in Louisville and second show ever tonight. Niles Foley strays a bit from the traditional bluegrass The 23 String Band into more roots rock and Moore will be playing some electric guitar and singing lead vocals.

Justin Paul Lewis (Louisville) is a singer/songwriter with a voice you need see to believe. Lewis is a small, skinny man but his voice, low and smooth, is so good. He told Kyle Meredith on The Setlist that he has some new material he hopes to release soon so show up for Lewis, the first act on the bill, for some potentially new music.

Where: Zanzabar (2100 South Preston Street)

    When: 8:30 p.m.

    Cost: $6

    Concert #2

Who: Wilder Stallions, Friends of Soul, Hey Babe (all from Louisville)

Wilder Stallions is instrumental funk/rock group who’s bio speaks for itself: “We're just a bunch of jazz musicians playing funk tunes on rock instruments.” There are no lyrics, yes, but by watching them play you can tell there’s a story in each song. Their songs weren’t just written; they were composed.

Friend of Soul is a project led by Joe Watts and Patrick Denney.

Hey Babe is a guy/girl duo composed of Bellarmine University music students Olivia Reed and Jordan Ramirez. With expert instrumentation and smooth lyrics, this acoustic-ish duo can both sing and then trade instruments for a good set of soft tunes.

Where: The Rudyard Kipling (422 West Oak Street)

    When: 7 p.m.

    Cost: $5
