If there’s one food that the world can agree on, it’s pizza. Regardless of diet or allergies, this deliciously versatile pie can appeal to anyone from five-star chefs to the pickiest of toddlers. With endless combination possibilities, pizza night is without a doubt an American family favorite. And with Blaze Pizza opening a second location in Louisville, the perfect pizza just got a little easier.

After the first Blaze Pizza restaurant opened in Los Angeles just three short years ago, the small restaurant chain has gained significant popularity in several cities across the nation, especially in Louisville. The chain’s first Louisville location opened in the Shelbyville Road Plaza last year and, not surprisingly, quickly gained a tremendous local fan base. “The response we’ve gotten from guests since opening our first restaurant has been incredible. Not a day goes by that I don’t get asked when we’re opening another location and that time is finally here,” says Blaze Pizza’s operating partner, Rodney Poston.

Besides the Highland’s delicious Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint, Blaze Pizza is one of the only places in town that allows customers to design their own personal-sized pizza all the way from the crust to the drizzle of sauce on top.

Similar to the assembly line style of Qdoba and Subway, customers are given the option to choose exactly what they want on their pizza and how they want it made while watching one of Blaze Pizza’s artists create their scrumptious masterpiece. And after the pizza is prepared, it is placed in the oven to be heated to perfection in just 180 seconds, promising a fast experience for customers.

And with Blaze Pizza’s full menu of nearly 20 different vegetables, meats like applewood bacon and grilled chicken, and unique cheeses like their ovalini mozzarella, customers are given endless options when choosing what they’d like on their pizza. Blaze Pizza also caters to those with allergies. No gluten? No problem!

Blaze Pizza’s new location will open next month at 13317 Shelbyville Road in the Middletown Commons Shopping Center near the Gene Snyder Freeway. For more information on the restaurant’s menu and other locations, visit their website here
