There’s rarely a chance for you to get to “sleep in” and it be good for your community!

The local Louisville Komen chapter is giving you that chance tomorrow morning.

Free and open to the public, Sleep Outfitters at 7619 Shelbyville Road, is hosting the event from 10am-12noon.

The first 50 participants to register for Sleep In for the Cure® will receive goodie bags.  In addition, anyone who registers at any Sleep Outfitters location will be entered in a drawing to win a pillow and sheet set valued at $300.

According to representatives from our local chapter, Breakfast in Bed attendees will be treated to complimentary food and beverage from Panera Bread.   Louisville native and Sleep Outfitters owner Kimberly Brown Knopf is excited to be sponsoring Sleep In for the Cure® for the 2nd year.  “It’s a perfect fit for our business and it allows us to contribute to Komen’s mission of a world without breast cancer”.

Sleep In for the Cure® was established by Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the organizers of the annual Komen Louisville Race for the Cure, as a way for those who want to show support but are unable to participate in person.  Registration is $35 and includes a special Sleep In for the Cure® shirt that is mailed to each participant.  The 15th annual Komen Louisville Race for the Cure® takes place October 9 at Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville.

So, get up and “sleep in” for a cure!

If you can’t be at the actual race, it’s the next best thing to helping find a cure!
