It’s almost summer time and you know what that means! It’s the perfect time to put on those shorts and sandals and head out to the driving range to practice your golf swing for Cedar Lake’s Annual Golf Tournament! This fundraising event is right around the corner and this year is going to be bigger and better than ever!

The fun starts in the morning of June 22nd at the Hurstbourne Country Club with the first game of golf beginning at 11am. And in addition to a full day on the course, there will be several fun giveaways for those in attendance along with a cookout buffet stocked with delicious summertime barbecue favorites!

But that’s not all. This year’s golf tournament is the first in Cedar Lake’s fundraising history to have a helicopter golf ball drop! At 12:45pm on the day of the event, a helicopter will fly over the driving range and drop up to a thousand golf balls onto the course. Each golf ball will be numbered and prior to the helicopter’s flight, those in attendance at the event will be given the opportunity to purchase these golf balls. Cash prizes will be awarded to the owners of the three golf balls that land closest to the hole. It’s a one-of-a-kind fundraiser you won’t want to miss!

Tickets to the event are $500 per person and include access to the cookout buffet and a full day of golfing. Balls for the helicopter golf ball drop are available for purchase for $25 each, or 5 balls for $100. All proceeds of this event will go directly to Cedar Lake, a Kentucky-based nonprofit organization that provides assistance and care to adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

If you’d like to sign up to participate in this charity event or simply donate to this organization, Cedar Lake encourages you to call them at 502-495-4943 or visit their website here!
