    A Christmas Story at Shelby County Community Theatre

    Ralphie, his quest for a Red Ryder BB Gun, and a holiday classic go to Shelby County Community Theatre's stage in A Chrstimas Story starting Friday.

    A Christmas Story will take place on Dec. 5, 6, 11, 12, and 13 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees will go on Dec. 7 and 14 at 2:30 p.m. each day. All performances are to happen at Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 Main Street in downtown Shelbyville, KY.

    Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 62 and up, and $10 for students. Due to limited seating, ticket reservations in advance are strongly recommended and can be made by calling 502-633-0242.

    A Christmas Story is the Christmas classic that features Ralphie's unending quest to get Santa Claus to bring him a Red Ryder BB Gun. He dreams about it, writes his school papers about it, talks about it. Yet, everyone keeps warning him, "You'll shoot your eye out."

    The movie A Christmas Story premiered in 1983 and has bcome a holiday classic that is shown multiple times on cable channels during the season. 

    Following A Christmas Story, Shelby County Community Theatre will present Love Letters as part of its Upstairs at 801 series. More informaton on both shows can be found at the Shelby County Community Theatre website.
