Life and death will be in focus in The Shadow Box, and auditions for the Clarksville Little Theatre show will begin in January.

The Shadow Box auditions will occur on Sunday, Jan. 9, and Monday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. each night.  Auditions will take place at Clarksville Little Theatre, located at 301 E. Montgomery Avenue in Clarksville, IN.

The performance will require three men, four women, one male youth 12-16 years of age, and a male or female to play an interviewer that will not be seen onstage.  Prospective actors and actresses can bring a headshot and resume.  Auditions, meanwhile, will consist of cold readings from the script.

Ron Johnson will direct the production, which will take place in early March.  More information can be found at the Clarksville Little Theatre website.

Three scenerios and views on life and death form the basis of The Shadow Box.  Three terminally ill patients talk about the sometimes difficult subjects during a day of interviews.  Michael Cristofer created the Pulitzer Prize-winning production after dealing with the cancer battle of two of his friends.

Clarksville Little Theatre is currently getting ready for the show Once on This Island.  The Kevin Swansey-directed production will run from Jan. 7-15.
