As summer barrels its way towards an inevitable conclusion, Seth Cockfield and Owen Straw are unwilling to the look the coming autumn in the eye, so they have launched the 2015 Endless Summer Comedy Tour.  The two New York based comedians and old friends have been out on the road on a crusade to make summer last as long as humanly possible.

Seth Cockfield currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. He's regularly performs at the world famous Velveeta Room in Austin, TX.  He has also appeared at the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans, and  Fun Fun Fun Fest. Most recently, he was a featured comic in the Week at the Creek series at the Creek and the Cave, in Long Island City.  His music/comedy interview podcast is called “Grow Up!,” in which he regularly talks to comedians about how their musical taste affected their craft.  He now hosts Into The Maelstrom, an eclectic music and talk show, every Sunday on Radio Free Brooklyn.

Owen Straw, however, lives in Bushwick, NY.  He brings a unique energy and subdued intelligence to his strange material, Owen Straw’s act weaves from quick one liners to real life stories about failure and heartbreak and sometimes a sing-a-long.  From improvising brilliant and unpredictable rants for crowds of jaded comedy nerds to pounding out joke after joke for rowdy drunks in the roughest road rooms, Owen Straw gets big laughs in any environment.

The tour will take the two men to bars and small theaters from Pennsylvania to Texas and everywhere in between.  But Louisville will be the most unique stop on the entire tour as they will be performing a special backyard house show in Old Louisville, put on by LAFF Fest Records.  The show will be Saturday September 12th and will begin at 7 PM.  Admission will be free, but you will have to make reservations in advance by contacting lafffestrecords@gmail.com.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
