The tragedies of cyberbullying and suicide have been front page or top story on the national news lately, including in the stories of Tyler Clementi and Phoebe Prince, among countless others. Tomorrow night, Looking for Lilith will examine those issues in Choices.

Choices: An Interactive Play on Cyberbullying and Suicide will take place tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m. in the Rudyard Kipling, located at 422 West Oak Street in Louisville. Tickets are $10 and $15 per person and be can be reserved by calling 638-2559. Show and dinner reservations can be made by calling 636-1311.

Choices will take on several forms: as a scripted piece, improvisation, and audience involvement. The show will center on the themes of cyberbullying and suicide, as it begins with a teenager who is on the brink of committing suicide due to constant cyberbullying. The story presented is based on real-life incidents.

Audience members can, theatrically, stop a suicide and change the situation. The audience will watch the 20 minute performance, then give feedback to the actors as to what could have been done or said differently in the given scenerio. The actors will then use those ideas to recreate the scene.

Looking for Lilith is working with The Make a Difference for Kids Foundation and the Computer Education Support Unit of Jefferson County Public Schools for the project. The show has been and can be performed at local high schools. More information on the show can be found at the Looking for Lilith website.
