Satan tries to return to Heaven in The History of the Devil, which Alley Theater will present beginning this weekend.

The History of the Devil performances will take place on Mar. 7-9, 14-16, and 21-23 at 7 p.m. each night.  A matinee show will happen on Mar. 17 at 2 p.m.  All performances will happen at Alley Theater, located at 1210 Franklin Street in the basement of The Pointe complex.  (It's one thing to get to The Pointe, but to get inside and to The Alley Theater, here's a YouTube video to help you.  Also, there are signs pointing the way to Alley, in case you get lost.)

Tickets for each show are $18 in advance and $20 day of show.  All tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Alley Theater website.

In The History of the Devil, Satan is tired of his Hellish life.  Tired and lovelorn, Satan asks for a trial in an attempt to be re-admitted into heaven.  During the trial, the great failures of humanity are put up as evidence.  Are they really failures or the Devil's own work?

Clive Barker created the production, which John Hetzel directed for Alley Theater.

Also taking place this weekend is the traveling burlesque show Pretty Things Peepshow.  More information on this show and others at the Alley Theater can be found at the theater's website.
