We’ve all heard of Portobello mushroom veggie burgers, so how about a Portobello mushroom pizza? Deliciously crisp crust is glazed with garlic olive oil and topped with plenty of Portobello mushroom slices, fresh spinach, perfectly roasted red peppers and mozzarella, asiago and fontina cheeses. It’s no wonder this one is an International Gourmet Pizza winner. Finish it with Boombozz's One Hot Cookie, a pizza-sized chocolate chip cookie topped with thick vanilla ice cream.

    3. The Greek

    The Original Impellizzeri’s Pizza

In lieu of marinara, this pizza is sauced with olive oil and is topped with freshly chopped tomatoes, crunchy red onion, baby spinach, thick meaty artichokes and delicate feta cheese. It might sound light, but even your meat-loving friends will agree that this is one heck of a filling meal. Add a side Greek salad to get the most out of your Greek flavor experience.

    4. Butternut Squash

    Garage Bar
    700 East Market Street, (502) 749-7100

Vegetarian or not, you’ve never had pizza like this before. The Garage takes it to a whole new level with this one-of-a-kind pie which features thick brown butter, both mozzarella and creamy white cheese, tangy pickled onions and a top layer of plenty of fresh arugula and pecans. Wash it down with a nice tall glass of honey lavender lemonade.

    5. The White Flag

    The Post
    1045 Goss Avenue, (502)635-2020

White flags are known to signal surrender, so it’s no surprise how this pizza got its name. Crunchy red onions, zesty red pepper, fresh spinach and basil and mounds of ricotta layered heavily on The Post’s garlic olive oil sauce is enough to make any set of taste buds surrender to this vegetarian treat. And if you don't want to order the whole pizza but are hungry for more than just an individual slice, you can try this mouthwatering topping combination in a calzone.
