With just six days until the NFL season kicks off, many fantasy leagues are having their drafts this weekend. Clearly the best place to have your fantasy football draft is at work while you're on the clock. But if that's not possible, these local establishments offer items as essential to a good draft as getting a solid running back (Darren McFadden doesn't count) in the first two rounds: Wi-Fi, beer and specials. Call ahead first though to make sure these restaurants and bars can accommodate large groups--and that their Wi-Fi is working fine.Fox and Hound Pub & Grill302 Bullitt Lane 502-394-7620 Located near on Oxmoor Center side of 264 (the less trashy of St. Matthews two malls) Fox and Hound has a free free free party-starter package for leagues having their drafts there: 50 wings, two pizzas and two orders of chips and salsa.BoomBozz Taphouse1448 Bardstown Road 502-458-8889 Bring in a party of 10 or more for your draft at BoomBozz Taphouse and you'll get two free large pepperoni pizzas. It's also running a special on one-topping pies for $6.99.Buffalo Wild WingsSeven area locationsBW3s has put together draft kits that include gift certificates, for leagues drafting there. Call ahead though as some locations are sold out (although if they are out and you ask nicely, you might be able to negotiate some kind of deal).HootersFive area locationsRestaurants with waitresses in braces serving overpriced bad food usually don't earn my recommendation, but Hooters has put together a fantasy football draft party kit for people who host their draft at the family-friendly establishment. It includes "a fantasy draft board, fantasy draft stickers, 12 fantasy draft 'cheat sheet' guides, and a customized Hooters draft guide magazine, as well Hooters Seasonal Tickets which provide weekly offers each time you visit the location to watch the games. I've been more intrigued by the goody bags from a 2-year-old's birthday party, but hey, times are tough, free is free and some of you degenerates actually like this chain. For more information: Already had your fantasy football draft and looking for other weekend activities?
