The 2010 King of the Bluegrass came to a close Wednesday night and while it may have been cold outside, the action was red hot inside Fairdale High School. Here is a re-cap of the day's action.
The championship game saw No. 1 Jeffersontown Chargers taking on No. 2 Eastern Eagles. The Chargers led most of the way by double digits. However, the Eagles made a run late in the fourth quarter and cut the Charger led to three with less than two minutes to play but it was too little too late, as the Chargers went on to win 69-61.
Harry Cross led Jeffersontown with 14 points, while Desmond Dorsey, Zach Price, and DeMichael Jackson scored 11 points apeice.
In the third place game, it was Bowling Green knocking off Chaparral (AZ) 51-54. Chane Behanan led the Purples with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Alex Pyper led Chaparral with 15 points.
George Fant scored 34 points and Jordan Shanklin added 14, as Warren Central defeated Bullitt East 71-61. Trey Rakes led Bullitt East with 18 points, while Hayden Sweat added 15.
Nathan Dieudonne scored 19 points, as Trinity derfeated Bob Jones 58-70. Charles Foster added 12 points and Troy Saxton, scored 13 for the Shamrocks. Levi Randolph and Jeffery Moss scored 16 apiece for Bob Jones.
