Just in time for the election: LRC presents November
    Print this page

In a strategic move, the Louisville Repertory Company has decided to take full advantage of election season.

Opening Friday, October 26th is the political comedy November, the story of a sitting president running for reelection.

    How ironic.

The play, written by David Mamet, is a satirical spoof on American politics.

Mamet, who has a penchant for colorful language in his scripts, has penned a plethora of films and plays over the past three decades, from the award-winning Glengarry Glen Ross to The Untouchables to the notable television series The Unit.

November in Louisville is running concurrently with a production in Los Angeles at the hallowed Mark Taper Forum, starring former Desperate Housewife and accomplished stage actor Felicity Huffman.

The Louisville production is directed by local celebrity J.R. Stuart, a long-time actor and director who has been seen in over 125 productions at Derby Dinner Playhouse.

November opens Friday, October 26th at 8pm at the MeX at the Kentucky Center. Tickets are $16 and can be purchased online via the Louisville Repertory Company or by calling the Kentucky Center box office at 502-584-7777.

The production runs through November 4th—two days before Election Day.

    About Michelle Rynbrandt

Before landing in the Possibility City, Michelle toured the country performing in various regional theatres. Having been there and done that, she can honestly say that Louisville's cultural opportunities are second to none.
