KMAC Martinis and Mistletoe: Shopping and Sipping Event
    Print this page

If you’ve had a cocktail or two, are you likely to end up with the large shopping bag full of newly purchased gifts, rather than the small one you tote home when sober?

    We’ll soon find out.

Thursday, December 4, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft (KMAC) will hold its annual holiday event, Martinis and Mistletoe. Fine artisan gifts from regional makers will be for sale, perfect for gift giving. Finlandia Vodka is providing specialty martinis.

Gifts include textiles, jewelry, wood, ceramics, glass and metal working.

Featured artists this year include Rebecca Hook jewelry, Julia Comer with Flo jewelry, Jan Strait's leather goods, Cathy Wade's up-cycled cashmere scarves, Martha Puckett's ceramics and Matthew Little's wooden table goods.

Martinis and Mistletoe is FREE for KMAC museum members and $20 for non-members.

Not yet a KMAC member? This event is a special opportunity to become a KMAC member. Museum members get free admission, receive a special 20 percent discount on purchases made during the event, and two complimentary drinks. Those who become museum members at the Martinis and Mistletoe event will receive a gift bag (while supplies last) plus the 20 percent discount on purchases made during the event, in addition to the annual member benefits.

Also, while you’re there, don’t miss KMAC’s decorated storefront, part of the “Get Lit” lead-up to Light Up Louisville.

Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft is located at 715 West Main Street.

A transplanted Hawkeye, I've now lived in Louisville longer than any other city. Can't live without: my husband and fur babies, coal-black coffee, peanut M&Ms, sunflowers, monthly vacations, books, walking paths, massage and a big purse.
