    LIVE MUSIC LOU'S CAN'T MISS: MARCH 29-APRIL 4
    Print this page

After a week dubbed the “Louisville SXSW,” this week is a bit quiet. Nevertheless, we’ll be heading out for a couple of good ones. For location, time and cost, click on the link for each event. Check back at livemusiclou.com after the events for our full reviews.

    Sunday (3/29) -

    Preservation Hall Jazz Band

One’s of NOLA’s historical greats, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will be at the Bomhard Theater for what is sure to be a toe-tapping night. Expect lots of traditional New Orleans style jams by one of the world’s best traveled ensembles.

    Monday (3/30) -

Vinyl Night at Haymarket Whiskey Bar

On a light week like this one, Haymarket's vinyl night is a great option to get your music fix. The evening includes free pizza from Spinelli's and a wide variety of music (you bring the record and it will be played), with a special giveaway from Guestroom Records during this week's addition.

    Thursday (4/2) -

    Sundy Best

The original show fell during one of city halting snow storms and had to be rescheduled - the weather is now warmer and I think Louisville is ready for the boys of Sundy Best. Their tour has been a hugely successful one and this sold out Mercury Ballroom show will most definitely follow that trend.

    Friday (4/3) -

Kristin Diable with Anderson East and Relic

Songstress Kristin Diable hails from New Orleans and has a sound that matches her home.  She’s touring for her new album, Create Your Own Mythology along with Anderson East.  Louisville’s own bluegrass group, Relic, will be getting the evening started.

Found Footage Festival with special guest Sapat

This unique event showcases random video bits that would otherwise forever been lost. These videos, picked up out of the trash, at a yard sale, in a thrift store, pretty much anywhere, and the live commentary sound like a really interesting concept. Louisville’s Sapat will be making a musical appearance as well.
