It was a big week for the Louisville Palace as they announced two big concerts from some legends who hail not too far from Louisville.

Audiences will gather soon for performances from John Mellencamp and Loretta Lynn. Mellencamp is originally from Seymour, Indiana and Lynn was born and raised in eastern Kentucky. They will be playing on January 23 and November 7 respectively.

Their hits are countless and the memories both of them have given us are just as numerous. As musicians for common people and simple men, Lynn and Mellencamp have been affecting people's lives for years.

Lynn, at the spry age of 82, is embarking on more dates this fall that include stops throughout the southeast part of the United States including two nights at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville as well as Louisville. The country music legend has not released a full album in ten years but is still going at it. The tour starts on September 18.

Mellencamp on the other hand is hitting the gas hard in 2015. He's no young man anymore either at age 62, but Mellencamp announced this week that he will be embarking on an 80 date tour start next January. The tour expects to promote his new album called "Spoken Word" which comes out September 23. The tour lasts from January all the way to August.

Lynn's show is on sale now and ticket prices from $41-$58. Mellencamp's show goes on sale to the general public on September 19 and ticket prices range from $55-$150.
