Grammy winner Chris Cornell is a legend. After going multiplatinum with three separate bands (Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave) he went on creating multiple solo works. On July 6, Cornell brought his acoustic Higher Truth Tour to the Louisville Palace showcasing the work of his fifth solo endeavor. It's not easy for an artist to play the inventory of hits he has but he covered a mix of hits and covers woven together with storytelling and humor. If you are reading this trying to figure out if you should venture out to one of his shows I'll tell you that witnessing the haunting acoustic version of "Fell on Black Days" is worth it on its own. The crowd, who had lined up nearly all the way to Broadway to enter, appreciated every minute of it.  This hard rocking frontman to solo artist clearly continues to evolve and seek a higher truth through his music. The exceptional ability for him to connect his voice to his soul brought us one step closer to it tonight.
