    You're anticipating the first real 3-day weekend of the year, but don't you dare think about sleeping in on Memorial Day!  Roll out of bed, and greet the morning of May 31 with the Mayor's Healthy Hometown Subway Fresh Fit Hike & Bike.  There's no excuse to miss this fitness event, because it's FREE!  And, it's perfect for the entire family.  Hand cyclers, wheelchairs, dogs on leashes, strollers and wagons are welcome, so this is truly an event for everyone!

    Monday's Hike is a 5k loop beginning at Waterfront Park to the Riverwalk.  The bike routes are between 1 and 15 miles, appropriate for all ages, and includes turn arounds and water stops along the way, from the Great Lawn to Iroquois Park.


    9:00 am - Booths open, Sign up for door prizes, Pick up a route map, and Get a free t-shirt and bike helmet (availability is limited).

    9:05 am - Warm up with Fierce Fitness by Design

    10:00 am - Call to the Post, Mayor's Welcome, Door Prizes

    Bike Start Times:

    10:05 am - Expert/Ride Teams

    10:08 am - Experienced Riders

    10:11 am - Frequent Riders

    10:14 am - Families/New Riders

    Hike Start Times:

    10:12 am - Hikers, Walkers, Strollers, Wagons, and Wheelchairs

    10:15 am - Dogs and Owners

    11:45 am - 1 pm - Music

    Note: Helmets are highly recommended for all riders.  Anyone under the age of 18 who rides the full route into Iroquois Park is required to wear a helmet while biking in the park (or any Metro Park).  Brush up on Metro Louisville's Rules of the Road.
