Music Theatre Louisville continues their summer series this Friday with the opening of their second production, Guys and Dolls

Guys and Dolls premiered on Broadway in 1950, and has been going strong on stages across America, including several Broadway revivals, ever since.

This Friday, the spotlights again focus on New York City gambling great Nathan Detroit, his betting buddy Sky Masterson, and the hard-to-get (especially when the subject of a not-so-friendly wager) Save-a-Soul Mission Sergeant Sarah Brown.

Through a series of familiar and fun tunes, including “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” and “A Bushel and a Peck,” and a cascading comedy of complications, order and happiness are eventually restored.

Guys and Dolls opens Friday, July 15th and runs through the 23rd at the Kentucky Center. Tickets are $27.50 for adults, $22.50 for students/seniors, and $12.50 for children (0-12). For reservations, call the Kentucky Center at 502-584-7777 or go online here. Limited rush tickets may be available two hours before showtime, in person, at the Kentucky Center box office.
