Just in time for the Louisville restaurant crunch time that is Derby week, local software development firm QSR Automations has a new app out in the iTunes store.
With DineTime, hungry folks can quickly filter and search some 480 full-service Louisville restaurants to locate just the right spot for their next meal. Search by cuisine, price range, distance from your current location (using your device’s GPS location), and more, in the app’s restaurant directory.
And what’s even better, says Steve Higdon, QSR’s vice president of marketing, for restaurants using QSR’s DineTime Host restaurant guest management software, users can see real-time wait times, submit their name to get on the restaurant’s wait list for a table, and receive a text back confirming their spot on the list and dining time. No more calling and sitting on hold, no more walking in only to end up walking out again, dinner-less. No more crowding inside the doorway, watching plates of food go by while you slowly starve. You can rate the restaurant in the app, too.
QSR made its hometown of Louisville the pilot test market for the DineTime app, and with only word of mouth, in just a few weeks, around 14 local restaurants have committed to DineTime Host (and the wait time feature within the DineTime app), and around 1500 Louisville consumers have downloaded the app. At the beginning of next week, the app will launch in the Google Play store for Android devices, and by the end of summer, QSR plans a national and international rollout of the DineTime app.
Higdon says the beauty of the DineTime Host guest management software is that it is appropriate for smaller, independent restaurants, as well as larger ones, because it runs on an iPad, while still providing guestbook, marketing and analytics capabilities that were once only available to huge chains with access to a data center. For that reason, Higdon says, the company expects to see healthy growth in its usage, which will help grow the usage of the DineTime app, as well.
Travelers to Louisville and locals alike can make Derby easier: Download DineTime, search, get on the wait list, and feast (no waiting required).
