The North American Championship Rodeo takes center stage at Freedom Hall this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
In conjunction with the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE), ongoing at the Kentucky Expo Center through November 18th, the Rodeo’s three-night event features all seven main rodeo events, including women’s barrel racing, steer wrestling and bull riding.
Cowboys and cowgirls competing in this weekend’s events are all part of the nine-state Great Lakes Circuit of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Winners from the contest in Louisville will earn a share of over $80,000 in prize money as well as the opportunity to compete in the National Circuit Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City.
Along with fan favorite Roger Mooney as the rodeo announcer and rodeo clown Rockin’ Robbie Hodges, spectators will be entertained by Tommie Turvey and his horse, Pokerjoe.
Tickets are available at the KEC, KFC Yum! Center and KICC ticket offices without service charges, and at all Ticketmaster outlets.
Tickets are $20 on Thursday, $30 on Friday and $32 on Saturday. Children 12 and under are $10. All three nights begin at 7:30. Parking at the KY Expo Center is $8.
