Food, friends, family, and a big time wedding are to be seen and heard in My Big Gay Italian Wedding, which Pandora Productions will present beginning Thursday.

My Big Gay Italian Wedding will occur on June 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, and 24 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A matinee is to happen on June 23 at 2:30 p.m.  All performances will go on inside the Victor Jory Theatre at Actors Theatre, located at 316 W. Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $16 in advance and $18 day of show.  Tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Pandora Productions website.

Get ready for a hilarious affair when My Big Gay Italian Wedding takes place between Anthony, a hopeless romantic, and Andrew, his dream boyfriend.  Considering that the setting for this wedding is Brooklyn, New York, expect a crowded, loud collection of family members and friends in attendance.

Before the wedding can even start, a series of random events and people threaten to derail the ceremony.  Anthony, who is Italian, must seek the blessing of his Italian Catholic parents.  Also, there's a crazy wedding coordinator and even a jealous ex-boyfriend of one of the couple.

Also, audience members can dress up for this event in their most tacky and terrible wedding attires (according to Pandora Productions, "think 1970's mint green taffeta and baby blue butterfly bow ties").  The most tacky-looking audience members may win an even worse looking bridesmaid dress or groomsmen look.

A "wedding reception" featuring punch and performances will take place after the 90-minute production.

Anthony Wilkinson created My Big Gay Italian Wedding.  The production has been performed Off-Broadway twice, at the Actors Playhouse in 2003-2004 and at St. Luke's Theatre in 2010-2011.

My Big Gay Italian Wedding is the last show of the season for Pandora Productions.  Pandora will return in September with performances of Kiss of the Spiderwoman.  More information can be found at the Pandora Productions website.
