If you find yourself sitting home, smoking clove cigarettes and drinking P.B.R. with nothing to do on a Thursday night – you might wanna throw on your tight jeans, grab your mustache wax, and get down to New Vintage for a special free show Kid Plastic.

Kid Plastic is a local all-star tribute to Radiohead.  The band features Alex Wright on vocals and guitar, Karsten Nelson on bass, Will Clark on guitar, and Justin Shaw on drums.  It’s a special show considering the band will be performing Radiohead’s often overlooked masterpiece, the delicately intricate second album “The Bends.”  It featured songs that would later become classics in the 90’s Alt-Rock lexicon like:  “Fake Plastic Trees,” “High & Dry,” “My Iron Lung,” and “Street Spirit (fade out).”

Based on the strength of the musicians and the music they’re paying tribute to, this is going to be an amazing mid-week show.

Kid Plastic perform The Bends at New Vintage – Thursday May 28th.  Doors are at 9:00, and the show begins at 9:30 and it is free to attend.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
