Actor's Choice will dive into history and vaginas, among other things, during its 2012-13 theatre season.

During the 2012-13 season, Actor's Choice will present four shows: The Lion in Winter (Aug.-Sept.), The Vagina Monologues (Sept.), Top Dog, Under Dog (Jan. 2013), and THe Graduate (Feb. 2013).

Performances are set to happen in the MeX Theater at Kentucky Center or at the Henry Clay Theatre.  Tickets, when they become available, can be purchased from the corresponding venue.

The Lion in Winter opens Actor's Choice's 2012-13 season, featuring Henry II, wife Eleanor, and King Philip, the latter of whom is trying to whold up his end of a marriage pact.  Meanwhile, Henry and Eleanor's three sons try to become heirs to the throne.

The production, directed by Kathi E.B. Ellis, will be performed at the Henry Clay Theatre, located at 604 South Third Street in Old Louisville, from Aug. 30-Sept. 9.  More information on The Lion in Winter can be found in this article.

The Vagina Monologues follows, showcasing monologues told by women about their...well, you know, as well as issues of sex, rape, birth, and other femininity-related areas.  Karen Faulkner, Ann Meyer, Ebony Jordan, and Kimby Peterson will perform each of the monologues.

Jamie Lentz directed The Vagina Monologues, which will take place Sept. 6-16 at the Mex Theater, located at the Kentucky Center for the Arts at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.  Tickets will range from $15-$18 per person.

After taking the fall off, Actor's Choice will return with Top Dog, Under Dog.  Two adult African-American brothers, Lincoln and Booth, are chronicled as they deal with their fractured childhood, racism, poverty, and other issues.  The production will go on at the Henry Clay Theatre from Jan. 10-20.

The Graduate will seduce audiences at the end of Actor's Choice's 2012-13 season.  The production, based on the book and movie of the same name, features a college grad who gets seduced by an older woman.  The Graduate will go on at the Mex Theater between Feb. 7-17.
