The Rochester Red Wings rocked Aroldis Chapman for eight runs in 3 1/3 innings as the Louisville Bats lost 13-4 on the road Friday night.

The highly-touted left-handed pitcher gave up nine hits, while walking three and striking out five, as Louisville lost for the third straight game.

The Red Wings, who were rocked for 16 runs by the Bats last Friday and Saturday, returned the favor by roughing up five Louisville pitchers for 20 hits.

How frustrating did things get for the Bats?

Pitching coach Ted Power was ejected in the eighth inning.

Rochester (14-21) took an early lead with two runs in the second, but Louisville (13-22) tied the score on Drew Sutton's two-run single in the third.

The Red Wings, though, broke the game open with an eight-run fourth inning. Trevor Plouffe's three-run homer was the big blow in the inning and it also chased Chapman (3-2).

That was more than enough for Rochester starter Ryan Mullins (3-2), who gave up nine hits and three earned runs in 6 2/3 innings. Mullins got plenty of help from Jason Repko (4-for-4 with four RBIs) and Jose Morales (5-for-5).

Michael Griffin went 3-for-4 to lead Louisville's 10-hit attack, while Jake Long went 2-for-2.

The two teams play again at 7:05 p.m. Saturday night at Frontier Field in Rochester, N.Y.
