The Kentucky Reggae Festival is back this Memorial Day weekend, May 22-24 at the historic Louisville Water Tower at River Road and Zorn Avenue. Feed your inner Caribbean-style as you feel the reggae beat and enjoy island-inspired eats right here in the Valley along the Ohio River.

My family and I have been attending the Reggae Festival for a number of years. It is very much a trip down memory lane for us as we honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica a number of years ago. The musicians and bands who play at the Reggae Festival are what really draw us to the festival. Well that, and the authentic Caribbean-infused food to feast upon. With vendors such as the Jamaican Association of Louisville there serving up everything from jerk chicken to festival. A full Jamaican style menu will be available, as well as cocktails and beer from the beer garden and bar. You'll also find traditional fair food such as corn dogs and freshly squeezed lemonade. There will also be a Jamaican inspired vendor market and entertainment for children.

Find them on Facebook and join the Facebook event page to keep up to date with everything going on this weekend at the Kentucky Reggae Festival. On the Facebook page, event planners have been posting some fun trivia questions such as this one from earlier today: "What name did Damian Marley give to Jamaica’s politically corrupt and poverty stricken areas in Jamaica?" It's all good mon.
