Hamlet is turned on its head when Louisville Repertory Company presents Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, which begins tonight.
Performances of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead will take place on Feb. 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, and 12 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee show will occur on Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. All perrformances will go on in the Mex Theatre at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Tickets for the show, all general admission, are $16 per person. Tickets purchased for the Monday, Feb. 7 show are $11 per person. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead is a comedy featuring two classic characters from the Hamlet play. Both are traveling to somewhere but are not quite sure why they are doing so. They just remember someone called them. While on their way, they will find themselves dealing with Tragedians, Hamlet, the struggle for their identity.
The cast includes Amy Lewis as Rosecrantz, Erica McClure as Guildenstern, Robert McFarland as the Player, and Corey Long as Hamlet.
