When Hunter Embry and Dave Chale opened The New Vintage last year, one idea they let linger was the possibility of working with nearby music venue of similar size Zanzabar. Today we learned that this idea has come to fruition in the form of Seven Sense Festival.
Seven Sense Festival is a free, street festival on September 20 that will take place on Preston Street near the two previously mentioned music venues. Music will be on two outdoor stages as well as at Zanzabar and The New Vintage. Nearby businesses like liquor store Greenhaus and bar Purrswaytions will also be featured.
Music will be on the outdoor stages from 12 p.m. - 10 p.m. and after that the shows will then move indoors and the all ages event will change to 21+. Those shows will last until 3 a.m.
Today Seven Sense Festival announced the first phase of their lineup:
The Brian Olive Band
Lamont Gillispie & 100 Proof
The Moonlight Peddlers
Small Time Napoleon
The Louisville Leopard Percussionists
There will also be select beers from Bluegrass Brewing Company, West Sixth Brewing, Falls City Brewing Co., Upland Brewing Company, Sterling Beer, New Albanian Brewing Company, and Kentucky Ale. Spirits include Old Forester Bourbon, Tito’s, Fireball Whiskey, and Red Bull.
Food vendors include El Taco Luchador, North End Café, Dragon King’s Daughter, Gelato Gilberto, Lil Cheezers, and Momma’s Mustard, Pickles, and BBQ.
VIP tickets will be available for those who want preferred seating, separate bars, and shorter waits.
