Shared Account and Edgar Prado split between horses to steal the Filly and Mare Turf from the favored Midday with Thomas Queally aboard on a firm Matt Winn Turf Course at Churchill Downs.

"It worked out like we planned," said Prado. "I tried to get the filly nice and relazed in the first part of the race."

Conditioner Graham Motion was elated at his filly's performance.

"I'm speechless. I'm very emotional," said Motion. "...I'm so glad for Edgar."

Queally and Midday trainer Henry Cecil did not blame the trip.

"On this day, she just got beat on that course fair and square," said Cecil.

Queally added, "The trip didn't beat her. The filly that finished first beat her."

Tom Proctor, who trained the third place Keertama, had mixed feelings.

"She ran good but like my daddy always said, 'No one ever remembers who finishes second or third,'" Proctor explained. "People who are happy with that are unemployed."

Shared Account paid $94.00, $21.80, and $15.20. Midday returned $3.20 and $2.20, and Keerana paid $10.20.
