What's the best way to go about getting money from your mother when she won't give it to you? For two greedy kids, it means trying to have her committed in Spreading it Around, which Bunbury Theatre will open this weekend.

Spreading it Around will take place Oct. 10, 11, 16-18, and 22-25 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees will happen on Oct. 12 at 4:30 p.m., Oct. 19 at 2:30 p.m., and Oct. 26 at 2:30 p.m. All performances are to go on at the Henry Clay Theatre, located in the Henry Clay Building at 604 S Third Street in Old Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $22 for general admission, $19 for seniors 65 and over, and $10 for students. All tickets can be purchased at the door or by going to the Bunbury Theatre website.

In the comedy Spreading it Around, Angela, a wealthy widower, has started a foundation (called the S.I.N. or Spending It Now Foundation) aimed at giving money to those in need. This comes after getting fed up with giving her money to her greedy kids, who don't seem to appreciate the value of it.

After hearing the news, Angela's son and daughter-in-law create a plan to have Angela committed so they can take the money. Will their plan work, or will they have their hearts turned? Go to the show to find out.

Following Spreading it Around, Bunbury Theatre will present Forgive Me, It's Christmas. The comedy will open December 5.
