The 15th annual Komen Louisville Race for the Cure, presented by Kroger, is Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Waterfront Park. The Race for the Cure raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battles with the disease. This year, new additions to the event have been added, including an exclusive V.I.Pink area and a Kids Fun Zone.
Online registration for the 2010 Komen Louisville Race for the Cure is now open at komenlouisville.org. Participants who register online will receive a $5 discount for saving paper and going green. After the discount, online registration is $25 for adults and $20 for children in 8th grade or lower. For those who aren't able to participate in the Race, Sleep In for the Cure is also available for $35, and includes the cost to mail Race shirts directly to participants. V.I.Pink tickets are $100 and include Race registration and admission to the V.I.Pink area, which offers a luxurious lounge with massage and delicious treats in a garden-like setting.
