Watch what happens when The Three Musketeers is performed with only two starting Friday with Bunbury Theatre.

“The Two Musketeers” will take place Oct. 9, 10, 15-17 and 21-24 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A performance on Oct. 11 is to happen at 4:30 p.m. Finally, matinees on Oct. 18 and 25 will go on at 2:30 p.m. each day. All performances will occur at the Henry Clay Theatre, located on the third floor of the Henry Clay Building at 604 S. Third Street in Old Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $22 for general admission, $19 for senior citizens and $10 for students. All tickets can be purchased at the door or the Bunbury Theatre website.

Budget issues have forced a theater company to drop one of the Three Musketeers out of the show. The remaining cast is left to tell the classic tale minus the one less crucial member. What follows is a self-aware, low-tech comedy as the cast follows through on the old saying “the show must go on.”

Former Actors Theatre artistic director Jon Jory adapted the show, which Juergen K. Tossman directed for Bunbury Theatre.

More information on “The Two Musketeers” can be found at the Bunbury Theatre website. The company will follow with “The New Mrs. Claus” in December.
