When asked about his inspiration for his “Urban Dance” photography collection, Louisville photographer Kevin Talley replied, “I love art and have always wanted to do something to show people in Louisville that we do have culture.”

Done in a style similar to the popular series, “Dancers Among Us,” Talley has captured the essence of living art in his black and white portraits of dancers caught mid-expression in recognizable Louisville locations. The photography captures the grace, strength and poise of trained dancers—focusing on the powerful lines in relation to the urban backgrounds.

Talley will be presenting this collection of photography at the "Urban Dance" Photography Art Exhibition this Friday, December 6, at the Brown Hotel Gallery from 6pm-9pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Over 25 prints ranging in size from 20 feet x30 feet, 11 feet x 14 feet, and 4 feet x 5 feet can be seen and purchased at the exhibition; however, if you have an image you like and need a different size, Talley will be available at the reception for inquiries.
