    Walking The Tight Rope: A Fall Fashion Experience

    Frances Lewis of Ann DeEvelyn Clothing Company will host a runway event on Thursday, October 9th, at Mellwood Arts and Entertainment Center. Lewis, a Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft featured designer, is using the event to launch her unique Living Room Boutique experience. The night will include a cocktail reception followed by a fashion show with some local talent, including Miss Plus America Nicole Hayden. 

    She describes her Living Room Boutique as a new way to shop local handmade clothing. Lewis will bring her latest designs to home parties for clients that were interested in custom designs or unique ready to wear pieces. 

    The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with the cocktail reception and the fashion show beginning at 8:30 p.m. Charla Young, host of The Charla Young Show, will be in attendance as a special guest of the designer. Word on the street is that local style bloggers The Chic Street and The Kentucky Gent will be attendance as well. 

    Tickets are $45 and can be purchased directly on the Ann DeEvelyn website, this ticket price includes 

    cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and seating for the show.

    A portion of the proceeds of will be donated to The Cabbage Patch Settlement House as a thank you from the designer for their continued support over the years. 

    The Cabbage Patch Settlement House is a nonprofit, Christian organization that exists to empower families and children to be self-sufficient by helping them maximize their spiritual, social, emotional, physical, moral, economic and educational potential. 

    Their mission is to equip and empower at-risk children, youth, and their families, to be self-sufficient by helping them maximize their economic, educational, emotional, moral, physical, social and spiritual potential. 

    They do this by fostering self-esteem and responsibility through purpose-driven programs in which 1,000 - 1,200 at-risk children and their families participate each year. Relationships are built, and lives are profoundly changed.
