We have a new group of great adoptable pets we are featuring this week in hopes they get their forever homes.

Meet Willow, a small female puppy who is a Border Collie mix. This little puppy is already spayed and ready for her forever home. She is such a pretty girl. If you are interested in adopting Willow have her Pet ID # A486056 when contacting Metro Animal Services about her.

Nina is 5 month old female German Shepherd mix puppy. She is already spayed. She is a very sweet playful girl who would love another doggie to play with. Nina likes to lean into her human friends which shows she is bonded with people. Got a house full of kids who need a playmate then little Miss Nina just might be the doggie friend they need. If you think she is the one for your family then have her Pet ID # A482799 handy when contacting Metro Animal Services about her.

Lucy is a 1 year old spayed female Labrador Retriever mix. She is a pretty girl and look at that happy smile on her face. She is already spayed and ready to go home with her new family. If you are interested in Miss Lucy please have her Pet ID # A484784 at the ready when contacting Metro Animal Services.

Julius, what can I say about this little baby pup? That face has so much expression that who could resist this little guy? Julius is a Schnauzer/Standard Poodle mix. Little Julius is already neutered and wants to go home with someone. If you are interested in little Julius please have his Pet ID # A485400 ready when contacting Metro Animal Services about him.

Spidey was featured in an article last year and this 4 year old Garfield look-alike has been so patiently waiting for a home. He likes to loll away the time in his kitty bed or on your lap. Even though he is older this kitty has a lot of love yet to give and he is already neutered. He is not fond of dogs so a home without them is best. He will get along with another cat. If you can give this older fellow the forever home he deserves then have his Pet ID # A347192 handy when contacting Metro Animal Services about him. It would make my day to see this guy go home.

Ava is another kitty who has also been featured last year. She also is still waiting patiently for her a forever home. She is a pretty young girl who is already spayed and ready to go home. If you think little Ava would make a great addition to your family please have her Pet ID # A441284 handy when contacting Metro Animal Services about her.

Louisville needs to work harder at spaying and neutering pets. Mixed breeds are a pretty good sign that this isn’t being done by those who should be having their pets spayed or neutered so their offspring do not end up at a shelter. If looking for a pet please save a life by adopting one at a shelter as the need to get these pets homes is great and they are spayed and neutered already so will not contribute to the unwanted pet population.
