    Booze News:

    Today (March 17) is St. Patrick's Day. Beloved Louisville restaurant The Irish Rover is putting on a massive tent party with food, music and Irish shenanigans

    Also today, (March 17) at 9:00 p.m. Master Distiller Night at Haymarket Whiskey will feature Jimmy Russell of Wild Turkey. What better way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day?

    The Booze Brackets (powered by Bourbon Blog) start March 18. It’s basically a booze-lovers version of March Madness.


    The Cure Lounge has opened in Germantown, in the location where Norm’s Club 21 Used to exist. The menu features pierogies, but The Cure is primarily an upscale bar and lounge. 

    Joy Luck is open at 1285 Bardstown Road, and their website has a menu up that includes a variety of Asian dishes like walnut shrimp ($19) and Kimchi Quesadilla ($6) and $10 lunch specials.

    Cake Flour is now open at 2402 Lime Kiln Lane. Their Market Street location closed a few months ago pretty suddenly, but Cake Flour lives once more in Glenview.


    Louisville native Damaris Phillips returned to the food network Sunday, March 16 for the first episode of season two of her show, Southern at Heart. If you’re not watching, you should be.

    According to WDRB, Louisville Grows is launching a monthly farmers market, to be held at the People’s Garden in West Louisville every third Saturday until December. The first farmers market was held this past weekend.

    The Grasshoppers Afterparty is tonight, at Harvest Restaurant. Tickets are $25 - $100 and will help retire the debt of the original Grasshoppers Farmers. You can still purchase tickets here
