    Bit to Do

In 2013, Louisville native and local music lover, Randy Napier was diagnosed with linitis plastica, an extremely rare form of stomach cancer. After having the massive cancerous tumor removed from his stomach, Randy, Dave Moody (Randy's brother) and Mike Mulrooney (founder of the local charity Shirley’s Way) joined forces to raise funds for their fellow Louisvillians experiencing emotional and financial hardship due to cancer.

Thus, Randy’s Bandaid for Cancer was born.

In its third year, this nonprofit festival has grown to become 12-hour party full of live local music, local food and drinks and silent auctions for amazing items, like guitars signed by some of the world’s most popular musicians and vacations. This year is going to be bigger and better than ever.

    Here’s the lineup:

    Fairview Tuesday

    Me & You

    Jeni Carr

    Elvis and the Wulfe Brothers

    Chase Skinner

    Unleashed

    Thunderstruck

    Naked Garden

    Big(ger) Rock Show

    Kimmett and Doug

    Shane Dawson Band

    Devereaux

In its very first year, Randy’s Bandaid for Cancer raised $6,000 for the medical expenses of local cancer patients, before dramatically spiking to $28,000 in its second year. Sadly, Randy passed away last fall, but his team of organizers are still going strong for this year’s event. They hope to make one of Randy’s final wishes come true by raising $50,000 at this year’s event.

Randy's Bandaid for Cancer will take place at Expo Five on Sunday, June 5 from 11am - 11pm. Tickets are $15 each.
