Small Business Saturday is only the day after on November 28, and it’s a shopping event no Louisvillian will want to miss. Here are some of the city’s best local shops to skip Black Friday for.

Wouldn’t we all shop more if we were paid to? The Louisville Independent Business Alliance thinks so, which is why its board has created the HoLOUdays contest, promising one grand prize winner a $1,000 local shopping spree. Shoppers can enter buy simply shopping at any five local business associated with LIBA between November 18 – January 5 and submitting their receipts for review at any Louisville Heine Brothers’ Coffee or Feeder’s Supply location or on the LIBA website. The winner will be announced on January 12 on Wave-3 Listens. For more information on which shops qualify, visit LIBA’s website
