If you happen to be passing by Headliners this evening, you might certainly wanna drop in and check out what Wild Belle is doing on-stage.

The band hails from Chicago, the brainchild of brother and sister duo Elliot and Natalie Bergman.  The critics have been raving about their debut album, 2013’s Isles, and the band’s live show since gracing stages from Coachella to TBS’s Conan.  And their song “Shine” was featured prominently on the soundtrack to last year’s indie sleeper hit The Way Way Back.

They blend a cohesive story from a range of influences that span from reggae to jazz, and everything in between; conjuring a live performance so hypnotic, it’s nearly impossible to avoid getting stuck in the beautiful web they spin.  Singer Natalie’s voice is angelic and blends in with the swirl of synthesizers seamlessly, thus constructing an all new instrument that only she can play.

You can see Wild Belle tonight, Wednesday May 14th, at Headliners.  Tickets are $12, the show starts at 9 PM and Caught A Ghost opens.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
