Willy Herrera To Launch New Drew Estate Cigar At Match
    Print this page

One of the best things you can pair with your bourbon is a good cigar.  It’s a combination as old as the new world, and both are experiencing a golden age in quality and popularity.  We’re fortunate in Louisville to be in the center of the Bourbon Universe.  Along with bourbon’s popularity, the popularity of fine cigars has also surged.  One of my favorite spots to hang out is Match Cigar Bar in Jeffersonville.  Not only do they have a great bourbon selection and awesome bartenders, they also host major cigar events complete with bourbon and cigar world elites.

Saturday July 11 at 5 p.m., Match will host Drew Estate Master Blender Willy Herrera for an exclusive product launch, a Tienda Exclusiva made specifically for Match.  They have their own private label bourbons, and now they have their own artfully blended Drew Estate Tienda Exclusiva blend to accompany them.

According to the event page, “We will begin selling this “Tienda Exclusiva” cigar at a release event . . . during which Willy Herrera will be in attendance to discuss the unique blend – so come on by, get a taste and meet the maker!  The blend features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and binder, and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar is presented in a 6 3/8 x 46 corona larga vitola, and will be packaged in 10ct boxes.”

This event is free, though cigar lounge etiquette dictates you should always buy your cigar from the establishment.  This particular cigar will be $13.50 per stick, which makes this a very affordable and fun Saturday night out.  You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the tobacco blending process while enjoying your favorite bourbon.  Tweet me @LouGirl502 if you need bourbon and cigar pairing suggestions!
