Come join us at the Hickory Hollow Nature Center for a day of fun. The aroma of food cooking over an open fire fills the air as does the ringing of the blacksmith's hammer striking the anvil. There will be demonstrations on lye soap making, spinning, cooking, woodworking, tomahawk throwing, music and Native American life. At 1:00 p.m. see how hay bales were made in the mid-1800's using oxen and an original operational haypress, a fascinating look at pioneer life.
