Film: “Peace One Day”
7:00 – 9:00 PM (80 minutes)
On any given day, there are countless wars and acts of violence being waged all across the globe. When filmmaker and activist Jeremy Gilley set about to persuade the United Nations to create a global ceasefire day, little did he know that his visionary idea would launch a five-year, worldwide quest for armistice culminating in the first-ever U.N. International Day of Peace, now held annually on September 21. The film will be followed by a discussion with local experts in the field of peace and conflict resolution.
