The Historic Hoosier Theater is offering a Children’s Summer Theater Workshop on June 24-28, 2013. The event will take place from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Hoosier Theater located at 209 Ferry Street in Vevay, IN.
The workshop will be taught by award-winning actress Kate Wilford. Students will be taught basic acting skills including: voice diction and projection, character study, script analysis, how to approach a role, stage presence, and movement and relaxation techniques.
The cost is $10 per youth, with ages 8-19 invited to participate. Payments can be made at the Switzerland County Visitors Center located at 128 West Main Street in Vevay, or by calling (812) 427-3237. A registration form and release is required and available at the Center. The workshop is limited to the first 30 students.
Students will participate in a production at the theater on Friday, June 28 at 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
