    Spring Meet at Keeneland

    Friday: Keeneland Spring Meet - College Scholarship Day

    Full-time students receive free general admission with a college I.D. and can register for a $1,000 scholarship and other great prizes. The first 2,000 students to register receive their choice of a Keeneland t-shirt or a Vineyard Vines hat. Also on Friday, play the $200,000 Guaranteed Pick Four and win big when you pick the winners of races  6 – 9.

    Saturday: Keeneland Spring Meet

    Start your day at Sunrise Trackside. Enjoy Breakfast with the Works, see morning workouts, and entertain the kids with free children’s activities. Then tailgate on The Hill, with live music, food trucks, a wagering tent, big-screen TVs and much more. But be sure to find a spot at the rail to see the running of the $500,000 Central Bank Ashland Stakes (G1).

    Sunday: Keeneland Spring Meet - Military Day at the Races

    Presented by Marathon in honor of our armed forces, all active duty, reserve, veterans and military families receive free general admission with a military I.D. Come to the North Terrace from noon to 4 p.m. for free food, live music, special giveaways, children’s activities and more.

    McDonald’s Kentucky Derby Festival Thunder Preview Party

    Kick off the Kentucky Derby Festival with a special preview of the 2014 Thunder Over Louisville.  Join Louisville in a night previewing this year’s Throwback Thunder on a night out with the family.  With feature planes displayed, a Coast Guard exhibit to enjoy, helicopter rides offered and a pilot Meet and Greet, this event is sure to kick off the Kentucky Derby Festival with a night of fun.

    Mayor's Music & Art Series

    Bring a brown-bag lunch and enjoy the show! “Louisville has an international reputation for its music, performing and visual arts,” said Mayor Greg Fischer.  The Mayor’s Music and Art Series at historic Louisville Metro Hall spotlight local musicians and artists. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with music starting at 12:10 p.m.

    Hats Off for Hosparus at Margaret’s Consignment

    This charitable event will include wine and hors d'oeuvres, as well as a silent auction of new and gently used Derby hats, fascinators, jewelry and accessories donated or made by local celebrities. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Hosparus of Louisville, an organization that provides comfort and support for patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments.

    Louisville Ballet: Complementary Voices

    Evan Williams Bourbon Experience at Downtown’s Trolley Hop

    Spend the night hopping through downtown on the Trolley Hop.  Visit the Evan William’s Bourbon Experience, local art galleries, restaurants, shops, and clubs located along Main and Market streets, as well as the Fourth Street corridor.  The Evan Williams Bourbon Experience celebrates the 8th stop on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail with a historical glimpse back in time. The Republic Bank First Friday Trolley Hop is open to the public and held rain or shine, so come out and explore downtown.

    HELLO, DOLLY! At the Kentucky Center

    Spend the weekend at the theatre and applauding the classic musical Hello, Dolly! The As Yet Unnamed Theatre Company will present Hello, Dolly! a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, book by Michael Stewart and directed by Elaine Hackett.  With a story revolving around Dolly Gallagher’s mischiefs matchmaking in her quintessential American town, you’ll be singing “Hello, Dolly!” at the end.

    The Crowns We Wear at Revelry Boutique

    This show will feature hats from Nina Rosenberg, who makes hats unlike anyone else in a unique vintage turban style design that is her signature look. Each one is truly unique and no detail is left out – everything from the handmade flowers by Bri Bowers-Norman to the vintage jewels draped around the base. Every angle exudes beauty and refinement. As a Parsons graduate and designer from the NYC studios of Ralph Lauren and Alexander Julian Collection, it’s no wonder Nina Rosenberg was awarded ‘Best New Hat Designer in Louisville’ by the Courier-Journal in 2009. This event is free and open to the public.

    Civil War Encampment 2014 in Corydon

    Civil War living historians will be encamped on the historic downtown square. Walk through the camps to experience the life of a Civil War soldier and civilian during the War. The re-enactors will provide demonstrations in infantry, artillery, nurses, cooks, laundresses, sharp shooters, and surgeons. Civil War field embalming by Dr. Benjamin Lyford of Washington City, DC is certain to be a unique experience for visitors. The encampment is free and open to the public. Friday is an educational day for schools, but public are welcome. Firing of weapons and the cannon will occur on Saturday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. While visiting the square, be sure to take a tour of Indiana's First State Capitol, built in 1816 and the Governor Hendricks' Headquarters, built 1817.

    Gridiron Glory: The Best of the Pro Football Hall of Fame 

    With 5,000 square feet of amazing and rare memorabilia, GRIDIRON GLORY is the largest travelling exhibition in the history of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Visitors will have the opportunity to relive the exciting careers of America’s professional football icons including Jerry Rice, Fran Tarkenton, John Elway and Bret Favre, while tracking players still in the game like Peyton Manning and Drew Brees. This interactive, multimedia exhibit features more than 200 objects including the iconic Vince Lombardi Trophy, select showings of original Hall of Fame busts, new material from NFL Films, never-before-seen artifacts and a chance for fans to see if they can measure up to the pros by throwing and kicking a football. Fans will also get a chance to second-guess some of the most famous close calls by referees in the history of the sport.

    Louisville Waterfront Walking Tour

    Join us for a tour of the Louisville Waterfront Park; stops include the historic Belle of Louisville steamboat, the Lincoln Memorial, the Flock of Finns, and the Big-4 Walking Bridge. Intended for both blind and sighted, the tour will emphasize the sensory aspects of the waterfront. Limited transportation from APH to the Waterfront Park is included.     Fleur - De - Lis on Fourth: An Evening of Arts & Hors D`oeuvres
